January 29, 2018

We finally got to enjoy The Pancake Man and our pjs today!  It was nice to see so many of you parents today at The Pancake Man!  Thanks for joining us!

We are learning about the beginning of Jesus' ministry as He calls His disciples.  We will also learn about some of His miracles.  I'm so happy to see the love of Jesus shared throughout our day by the kiddos!  Integrating our faith and trust in Him throughout the day is such a blessing to all of us!

Reminder that tomorrow, January 30th will be our celebration of the 100th day of school.  Your child may wear something with 100 on it (buttons, cereal) or dress like they are 100 years old!

We are finishing up Letterbook R this week and then beginning our unit on letter Nn.  I've put some of the vocabulary words for the story on the bottom of the pink sheet this week.  Practice them as you have time - we practice in school as well.

Sight word/extra phonic books are coming home today.  Please remember that we need them back on Thursday or Friday so we can get them ready for the next group.

We will have a small Valentine's party on February 14th.  Children may bring 25 valentines to pass out to their friends.  PLEASE DO NOT put names on the outside (who they are for) or it takes too much time to pass them out.  Just have your child sign their name in the "from" spot.  Also, children need to bring a decorated box/bag by February 14th to take their valentine's from friends home in.  A decorated cereal box is just fine!

We will be participating in Global School Play Day on Wednesday, February 7th!  They put out on Twitter that they needed 3 states to participate in order to have all 50 states so I signed us up!  On that day your child may bring a toy or game (nothing electronic) that he/she is WILLING TO SHARE WITH OTHERS to school.  I'm looking forward to this!  Here's the link if you'd like more information:

We are looking forward to learning more about money, penguins, our world, the Olympics and much more!

Have a wonderful week in Jesus!
