September Days!

I sure am enjoying spending my days with these wonderful little ones that God placed in my classroom this year!  They are thriving under the structure and routines and I am amazed at how I can say, "Time for Literacy Centers!" and they say, "YAY!!" and go right to their center and get to work!  I'm amazed at their care and concern for each other's welfare.  I'm amazed at their care for the residents at Montclair.  I'm amazed at their desire to learn about God's trees and caterpillars.  They are just so amazing and I thank you for sharing them with me each day of this school year!

This week, we will learn more about the Old Testament Bible stories of God's care for Jacob and his son, Joseph.  We will learn about letters s and l and continue to  blend letter sounds together to read words (isn't it exciting??!).  We will keep working on making our numbers correctly, counting 1:1 and graphing.  As fall is approaching, we will enjoying watching our adopted school tree change and also learn more about leaves and how God has made them to change in autumn.  We will visit Montclair again on Thursday and share the love of Jesus with them as we make a craft and sing songs with them.  It's going to be a great week!

They LOVE this game and it's quickly taught them number order and ten-frame work!
 Pattern Block puzzles....

"Memory" - such an important game for critical thinking and helping with memorization and focus!
They have to quietly tap and say each box to enter the classroom!!
