September Days.....

Is tomorrow really October?!  I just can't believe we are over 6 weeks into school already!  The little ones amaze me every day at the growth I've seen in them in so many ways!  Their prayer life has truly expanded and, as you'll see on one of the pictures below, we heard and then saw an ambulance on our way to Montclair last time so we stopped chatting and I led us all in a prayer for the patient and the helpers.  We are truly blessed to have God at the center of our school and our lives!

We are learning how God helps families through Old Testament stories.  I love how the Bible is full of stories of sinners so we can see God's love and grace through their life struggles.  Over and over again in the Bible we see how God forgives, heals, restores and provides for His people.  We are blessed to have these examples to learn about God's love!

We are reading stories by sounding out words!  It's so exciting!  As we learn some sight words now, we will continue to practice our letter sounds and blending them together.  I will send home practice sheets/stories for the kiddos starting this week.  These can become great "bedtime" stories with your little one reading to you!

Wasn't Friday night's event special?!  It just warmed my heart!  Thank you to all of you who were able to come.  If you weren't able to come, I'll give your child's gift to them tomorrow.  It's pretty special!

I look forward to talking to you at conferences this week.  I have a full back-to-back schedule and I'll try my best to stay on time!  I know it affects those of you with other children at Concordia if I get behind so I'll try my best to keep within the 20 minutes!  I do love sharing with you about your child and their progress in kindergarten!

Have a great week!

 Learning about Kentucky from Mrs.Beals!

We figured out Annabeth's dad was in Colorado!  He showed us the mountains and vegetation and taught us about things around Grand Junction!

When it rains...and rains...and rains....I dig out the balance beam, stepping stones and trampoline and make a course for them!
This girl asked if she could do something to help me (I get that question A LOT from kindergarteners!) so she scrubbed off the "x"'s from our Literacy Center nametags!  It's not easy to do but she loved helping and got it done!
